This document is designed to help both retailers and consumers understand the terms and conditions of Samaki Australia’s product warranty. It aims to provide clarity on common concerns and frequently asked questions, ensuring a smooth process when assessing warranty claims.

Warranty claims are only valid if approved by Samaki Australia or an authorised Samaki Representative. Use this guide as a reference to determine if your issue qualifies as a warranty claim. If you remain unsure after reviewing, please contact us or the retailer from whom the product was purchased.

Warranty Coverage

Reel Warranty

All Samaki reels are covered by a one-year warranty from the date of purchase for the original owner.

Rod Warranty

Samaki rods come with a one-year warranty from the date of purchase for the original owner.

Samaki Australia warrants these products against any manufacturing defects. During the warranty period, Samaki will repair or replace, free of charge, any part found to be defective. All warranty services must be carried out by a Samaki Australia Service Technician or an authorised representative.

Exclusions from Warranty

Warranty coverage does not apply in the following circumstances:

Reel Warranty Exclusions:

  • Products purchased from non-approved Samaki stockists or overseas retailers.
  • Damage due to owner negligence, lack of maintenance, accidents, or abuse, such as:
    • Corrosion from saltwater or insufficient maintenance.
    • Damage from mishandling, improper disassembly, or reassembly.
  • Normal wear and tear, including worn bearings or drag system issues.
  • Modifications or repairs performed by unauthorised technicians.

Rod Warranty Exclusions:

  • Products purchased from non-approved stockists or overseas retailers.
  • Damage due to negligence, misuse, or exceeding the recommended line or casting weight.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Modifications or servicing done by unauthorised technicians.

Making a Warranty Claim for Reels

To submit a warranty or repair claim for Samaki reels, please fill out the Reel Warranty/Repair Form. Once the form is submitted, Samaki will review your request and respond within 14 days to provide further instructions.

Making a Warranty Claim for Rods

Warranty claims can only be approved by Samaki Australia or an authorised representative. Please return the rod to the store from which it was purchased with a copy of your proof of purchase to be assessed.
